Project Management Control Systems
No engineering and construction project can be delivered without being managed. Project management controls system (PMCS) is the information system that will provide the project management team and other stakeholders with the information they need to plan the project execution, identify the resources required to complete the project deliverables, assess the impact of assumptions and constraints on the project plan, monitor and control performance, report on the project progress, status and forecast, identify and manage project issues, manage project contracts and changes, manage project paperwork, documenting project performance, manage and respond to project claims, manage project requirements, among many others. Most of the new project specifications have now imposed PMCS as a contractual requirement that the Contractor must fulfil. This applies for both private and public sectors’ projects. This program is designed to provide project stakeholders with the required knowledge to develop, implement and use project management control systems.
